“Having Jerome as my mentor has without a doubt changed my life and how I live it. His guidance and support is the most important part of my mental health journey. He provides me with the best advice and always makes me feel like we can solve any problem that arises. He doesn’t just hear, he listens. I feel lighter when I see Jerome. I go home and I feel like there’s been a force or great weight lifted off me. I wouldn’t be where I am today without him.” (Sophia, second year law/communications student)
Coaching helps you identify and focus on what is important to you, both personally and professionally, and puts you on the path to achieving success in those areas. It is about developing and honing the capabilities of high-potential individuals, and directing those capabilities in a way that keeps you healthy and happy in your study, work and life.
Young legal professionals, students and practitioners alike, can gain a lot from such coaching and mentoring. The nature of our study and practice requires us to take a more holistic approach to not only our health and wellbeing, but also our vocational development. Taking the time to extrapolate our values, gifts and passions and then effectively utilise them in a manner that befits our goals gives us an exponentially increased chance of achieving personal and professional success.
Coaching – both as a client and now as a coach – has made me a better legal professional. It can do the same for you too.

I have completed extensive neurological-based coach training with US-based firm Ama La Vida, covering foundational coaching principles, underlying structure of coaching engagements, theory and application of neuroscience and positive psychology in coaching, evidence-based process for goal-setting and accomplishment, creating and maintaining a safe and supportive coaching environment, effective communication principles and techniques, and skills to effectively generate insights and empower solutions.
Moving forward, I am excited to be able to offer coaching to more law students across Australia, and help them achieve goals and navigate issues, through support I wish I had experienced when I was a law student!

“Jerome has been an exceptional coach. He took the necessary time to first determine that he and my daughter were the right “fit” for each other and then also the time to understand the specific issues that my daughter faced so as to tailor his approach to both her needs and her personality. He has helped her to help herself which means that his coaching today will have much longer lasting value and will give her life skills going well into the future. He guides and challenges rather than dictating a plan or a path. I unreservedly recommend engaging Jerome as a life coach for a young person navigating the challenges of young adulthood, transition to the workforce and study demands.” (Anna, mother and HR manager)
